Because we love the pizza (and macaroons!) at Chic Alors!
In order to support #localshopping, we're stepping out of our comfort zone and our running shoes to introduce you to some of our favorite local businesses and restaurants! We're kicking off this week with "The Chic", for those of you in the know! For the occasion, we will be raffling off a 4-in-1 on Thursday, April 9th on our Facebook page.
Celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, Chic Alors!:
Le resto was born in the Faubourg des Sources, in Cap-Rouge, and occupied a space where the Sushibox. It is also in this famous strip that was born the Boucherie des Sources, now become IGA des Sources and the restaurant l'Immédia. We can say that this small shopping center is a nursery for successful businesses!
Chic Alors! which only offered pizza for delivery or take-out until 1992, has successively expanded over the years to add seating and an artisanal ice cream bar. On the eve of its 20th anniversary, the company purchased a piece of land where it built the modern building it currently occupies.
At the beginning, Chic Alors! only offered pizza, but it also diversified its offer without giving up its star product, the pizza. The desserts and homemade pastries have become particularly popular over the years. Some would even say that its macaroons have nothing to envy to the best Parisian macaroons!
Always ready to innovate, Chic Alors! has marked the history of pizza by inventing its 4 in 1 in 1998. The idea of putting four small pizzas in a big box has since been taken up all over the world thanks to a report in a specialized magazine for pizza shop owners and operators. In 2004, Pizza Hut even launched their version in a Superbowl commercial!
At the end of the 90's, Chic Alors! managers also wanted to go green, which culminated 20 years later, in 2018, with the title of "Greenest Restaurant in Canada".
Today, with sanitary measures requiring the temporary closure of the dining room, it's back to basics, but in the fashion of the 2020s, with online ordering and delivery by electric cars! Nothing better than a good Chic pizza after your run! Enjoy your meal!
