How to choose a men's sport t-shirt?

Aim first for a technical fabric: polyester (dry-fit style, often recycled) and its blends wick moisture and dry fast, unlike cotton, which holds it. Some models offer an anti-odour treatment and good temperature regulation; merino wool is unbeatable here. For fit, choose by use: fitted (even lightly compressive) for performance and running, roomier for comfort and weight training. Finally, decide between short sleeves, long sleeves (cool runs, a light layer) and sleeveless for maximum ventilation.

T-shirt or tank: what's the difference?

The tank top frees the shoulders completely and maximizes ventilation — perfect for weight training, the gym in summer and hot weather. The short-sleeve t-shirt covers a bit more and suits almost everything: running, training, team sport. Long sleeves work as a light layer when it's cool. For intense training, it mostly comes down to preference and temperature.

For running, the gym and soccer

For running and trail, an ultralight breathable t-shirt, or a tank in summer. For the gym and weight training, a tank or a stretch t-shirt that moves with you. For soccer, a technical top under the jersey or for warm-ups. Round it out with our training tops, our base layers and our sport shorts.

Why choose a breathable fabric?

Under effort, your body sweats to cool down. A breathable, moisture-wicking fabric pulls sweat to the outside where it evaporates, keeping you dry and at the right temperature. Cotton, on the other hand, absorbs and holds water: it gets heavy, cold and slow to dry. That's why, for performance, a quick-dry technical t-shirt always wins.

Our expert advice

For years, our team has advised runners and athletes on choosing their technical tops. Our simple rule: a fabric that wicks moisture, a cut suited to the activity, and cotton reserved for rest. Come see us: we'll help you find the right model for your sport.

What's the difference between a sport t-shirt and a tank?

The tank top is sleeveless and frees the shoulders for maximum ventilation, ideal for weight training and hot weather. The short-sleeve t-shirt covers a bit more and suits almost every activity.

Which fabric should I choose for running?

A breathable technical fabric: polyester (dry-fit style, often recycled) or a moisture-wicking blend. Avoid cotton, which absorbs sweat, dries slowly and cools the body.

Do running t-shirts dry quickly?

Yes, technical polyester t-shirts are built to dry fast: they pull moisture to the surface where it evaporates quickly, unlike cotton, which stays wet.

What cut should I choose for the gym?

It's your preference: a tank or a roomy t-shirt for ventilation and freedom of movement, or a fitted/lightly compressive cut if you like a close-to-body feel.

Are tanks suitable for soccer?

In matches, the uniform is a sleeved jersey; the tank is mainly for training, warm-ups or as a light layer under the jersey in hot weather.

Cotton or polyester for a sport t-shirt?

Polyester wicks moisture and dries fast — ideal under effort. Cotton is comfortable at rest but holds sweat; keep it for lifestyle rather than intense training.
