La Sportiva

Founded in 1928 in the Italian Dolomites, La Sportiva is a world reference in mountain footwear. At Soccer Sport Fitness, we showcase its range of trail running shoes, built for grip, cushioning and protection on technical terrain, in any weather.

Mountain trail first

La Sportiva's strength is demanding terrain. Its FriXion® outsoles bite into rock and mud, its GORE-TEX membranes keep your foot dry, and its nitrogen-infused XFlow™ foams deliver dynamic cushioning. The Prodigio range aims for versatility, while the Prodigio Max adds maximum cushioning for long distances.

Waterproof for every season

The GTX (GORE-TEX) versions protect against rain, snow and slush: a key advantage for running in Quebec through fall and winter. See our winter running shoes for men and for women.

Designed in the Dolomites

An Italian family business based in Ziano di Fiemme, La Sportiva designs its products in the heart of the Dolomites and uses recycled materials (TPU, laces, insole) across several of its models.

How do La Sportiva shoes fit?

La Sportiva uses European sizing and generally offers a fairly roomy forefoot. If you are between two sizes, try them with your running socks; check the size guide on the product page if needed.

What is the difference between the Prodigio and the Prodigio Max?

The Prodigio aims for versatility with medium cushioning, ideal for trail training and racing. The Prodigio Max adds maximum cushioning (a thicker platform and XFlow Endurance midsole) for long distances and ultra running.

What does GTX mean on La Sportiva shoes?

GTX refers to models with a waterproof GORE-TEX membrane. They keep your foot dry in rain, snow and slush while staying breathable.

Are La Sportiva shoes suitable for winter running?

Yes. The waterproof GTX versions and their FriXion lugs offer good protection and grip on wet or snowy ground. For ice, we recommend removable traction cleats.

Where are La Sportiva shoes made?

La Sportiva is an Italian family business that designs its products in Ziano di Fiemme, in the Dolomites. Depending on the range, manufacturing takes place in Italy or Asia.
