SHOKZ - open ear headphones for athletes

Bone conduction & open-ear headphones — OpenRun, OpenSwim

Shokz

Shokz makes open-ear headphones that let you hear your surroundings — a safety advantage for running, cycling or training in the city. With bone conduction, sound travels through your cheekbones rather than into the ear canal.

The range

The OpenRun and OpenRun Pro (bone conduction, sport), the OpenSwim (waterproof, with a built-in MP3 player for the pool) and the OpenFit (open-ear with an ear hook). Light, stable, no pressure in the ear.

Built for sport

Sweat-resistant, generous battery life and a secure fit even in motion: everything to power your workouts without falling out or blocking your ears.

How do I pair Shokz headphones?

Turn them off, then hold the volume-up button until an announcement or light indicates pairing mode. Then select the device (e.g. OpenRun) in your phone's Bluetooth menu.

Are Shokz waterproof?

They resist sweat and rain (the IP rating varies by model). The OpenSwim is fully waterproof and built for swimming.

How do I wear Shokz headphones?

The hook goes over your ear and the transducers rest on your cheekbones, just in front of the ear, without blocking it. The neckband keeps them in place.

Is the sound quality good with open-ear?

Sound is clear for sport, podcasts and calls. Bass is less deep than with sealed in-ear buds: that's the normal trade-off of open-ear, which keeps you aware of your surroundings.

Can you use Shokz for swimming?

Yes, with the OpenSwim: it's waterproof and has a built-in MP3 player, since Bluetooth doesn't travel through water. Other models aren't built for swimming.
