Suunto: Finnish adventure since 1936
Suunto's story starts in 1936, when Finnish orienteer Tuomas Vohlonen set out to make a more accurate compass and invented a new way to manufacture liquid-filled compasses. Today, Suunto designs sports watches, dive computers and instruments used by adventurers around the world. Its headquarters and factory are still in Finland.
Suunto Run: the GPS watch built for runners
The Suunto Run is a light 36 g watch built for running. Its 1.32 in AMOLED touch screen and crown make navigation easy, in training and on race day.
Dual-band GPS and long battery life
With dual-band GPS, the Suunto Run tracks your pace and distance accurately. It offers up to 12 days of battery, about 20 hours in high-accuracy GPS and 40 hours in power-saving mode, enough for long runs and races.
Music, health and recovery
Bring your music with 4 GB of offline storage. Track your heart rate, sleep, recovery and training load to dial in your sessions.
How to choose a GPS running watch
Look at GPS accuracy, battery life in GPS mode (based on your longest runs), screen readability and weight on the wrist. To compare, see our COROS watches too.
Getting the most from your GPS watch
Let the watch lock onto GPS for a few seconds before you start for accurate tracking from the first step. Wear it snug, just above the wrist bone, for reliable heart-rate readings. Recharge it after long runs in high-accuracy GPS mode.
